Course Resume

The course is an optional course designed for Engineering Master of Computer Science in International Engineering Institute. Virtual Reality uses the computer graphics technology and simulates the real world in a computer. Through the usage of sensor technology and other auxiliary techniques, the technology enables users in the virtual space to sense immersive world, and obtain feedback in the interaction with objects of virtual world. Through the study, students can understand the virtual reality modeling technology and master the basic skills of application system development.

Prerequisite

  • To conduct the practice in the design of three-dimensional animation

  • To get familiar with Graphics Image Processing

Course Objectives

This course discusses basic concepts of Virtual Reality to help students understand Virtual Reality better and enhance their professional skills. After this course, students should be able to:

  • Understand and grasp the basic concepts and terminology of Virtual Reality, the system composition and application domain,

  • Comprehend computer architecture and the input and output device of virtual reality,

  • Understand the virtual reality modelling technology, and to

  • Master the basic skills of application system development.
