Dr. Teng received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from King’s College, University of London. He is currently a Professor of the School of Electronic Information Engineering, Tianjin University. Dr. Teng gives the lectures of “Circuit Analysis” and “Structure and Interpretation of Signals and Systems” for undergraduate students and “Modern Network Synthesis” for postgraduate students for years. All the courses are taught in English combined with Chinese(bilingual). He has published more than 100 papers on Journals or conferences.

Professor Teng's research effort is focused on both theoretical developments and practical applications. Particular areas include filter theory and design and signal processing. In filter design, he concentrates on the research of active filter synthesis using admittance matrix expansion, and transimpedance active filter design as well as Pascal filter design.
