Yan Ding







Yan Ding got his Ph.D. degree of Heating, Ventilating and Air-conditioning Engineering in Tianjin University. Prior to his visit to LBNL, he visited CHUN-ANG University in Seoul and Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. He also worked in Ministry of Housing and Urban-rural Development of the People’s Republic of China (MOHURD) as an internship.

Yan Ding is awarded by China Scholarship Council (CSC) as a visiting scholar to join China Energy Group of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. He participated in U.S.-China Clean Energy Research Center (CERC) Joint Research Program on Building Energy Efficiency and contributed to simulation and optimization work of pilot buildings with high energy efficiency.

Dr. Ding’s research focuses on the efficiency of building energy system and the retrofit schemes of existing buildings. He also focuses on the human behavior patterns in public buildings and the internal load prediction of new buildings. Dr. Ding has already published more than 15 journal articles on the international journals such as Energy and Buildings, Energy Conversion and Management, Energy Policy, etc. He is also invited as a reviewer of the international journals such as Energy, Energy and Buildings, Energy Conversion and Management, etc.
