01 To students in the Tianjin International Engineering Institute,

In order to form a good interactive atmosphere between teachers and students on campus, build a harmonious relationship between supervisor and students, and promote the study, research and life of postgraduates, the Graduate Student Union of Tianjin University, together with all Schools and Graduate Student Unions of all Schools, launched the 15th Selection Activity for the "Good Supervisors in My Heart" with the theme of "Celebrating the 20th CPC National Congress and Educating with Original Aspiration". The postgraduates will independently recommend and vote for the good supervisors in their heart who have noble ethics, serve as a model for teachers and educate diligently. The relevant notice is as follows.

 02 Selection conditions

(1) Scope of selection object

All master supervisors and doctoral supervisors with organizational affiliation at Tianjin University are eligible for the selection; In principle, supervisors who have been awarded as "Top Ten Good Supervisors in My Heart" in Tianjin University in the past cannot participate in the university-level final selection this time.

(2) Basic conditions of selection object

1. High political quality

Keep to the correct political orientation, support the leadership of the Communist Party of China, and constantly improve ideological and political consciousness; implement the educational policy of CPC and persist in serving the people with education; integrate ideological education with professional education, firmly believe in, actively spread and exemplarily practice core socialist values;

2. Noble ethics

Abide by the professional ethics of teachers, set a good example for teachers, infect and guide students with noble morality and personality charm, and become the inheritor of advanced ideology and culture and active promoter of social progress; adhere to academic norms and abide by academic ethics; have a sense of responsibility and mission with due diligence, and have enough time and energy to enlighten and guide postgraduates in time;

3. Excellent professional quality

Have profound academic attainments with persistent academic pursuit, concern on social needs and promote the inheritance and development of knowledge and culture; build forefront leading curriculum, innovate the teaching model and enrich the teaching means; Constantly improve the instruction ability, focus on cultivating the innovation ability of postgraduates, and help postgraduates grow into talents.

Activity process

It consists of four steps of school-level selection, qualification examination, promotional display and university-level final evaluation. The school-level selection is organized and implemented by Tianjin International Engineering Institute and the Graduate Student Union of Tianjin International Engineering Institute; The university-level final evaluation is organized and implemented by the Student Work Department of the Party committee, the Graduate School and the Graduate Student Union of Tianjin University.

Arrangements for school-level selection

According to the requirements of selection object, the postgraduates will voluntarily recommend the supervisor for the selection with the consent of the supervisor. Based on the actual application situation, the Institute and the Graduate Student Union will hold the selection activity at a selected time, and the results of the recommended supervisors will be publicized within 3 working days.

Material preparation

(1) Tianjin International Engineering Institute Recommendation Form for Candidates of the 15th Selection Activity for the "Good Supervisors in My Heart" in Tianjin University_Name of Supervisor

(2) A paper of around 1,500 words that tells the story of your supervisor, especially focusing on his/her prominent work as an educator in ideological guidance, instruction for scientific research, employment recommendation, psychological counseling, humanistic care, etc.
