Internship is an important link of teaching, to cultivate students' innovation and internship ability. Through internship, students could understand the society, obtain practical knowledge related to the majors, consolidate the theoretical knowledge, and improve working abilities and professional skills. This internship would promote better combination between the school education and social education.
2.Organizing and management of internship
Under the leadership of the party secretary and deputy director, the internship work will be completed by the assist of competent teachers.
Main content:
(1)Study and formulate the provisions and principles of the internship; print and deliver unified report papers.
(2)Review the internship plan, budget and expenses comprehensively.
(3)Implement relatively continuous internships sites or internships companies.
(4)Confirm the list of internship instructors, review and approve various internships syllabus and internship plan.
(5)Organize ideological mobilization of teachers and students, and education of organizational discipline, security and other aspects.
(6)Study, inspect, and guide the internship; investigate on the scene in-depth.
(7)Organize teachers to actively participate in guiding the internship work, and document.
(8)If major accidents occurred in the course of the internship, instructors should promptly report to the institute to deal with.
(9)Collect the internship summary, and organize experience exchange.
3.The preparation before the internship
(1)Determine the internship instructor, generally by the experienced teachers.
(2)According to the requirements of the internship, compile the plan of internship; implement the plan after the approval of the institute.
(3)Internship teams cannot practice without Internship syllabus and Internship plan .
4.The responsibility of instructors
(1)Instructors should teach students by personal example as well as verbal instruction, to strengthen the political and ideological education to students. They should be responsible for students' learning, life, health and safety as well, in order to ensure the implementation of internship work.
(2)The instructors should follow the requirements of the internship syllabus, get familiar with the status of the internship in advance, and formulate a schedule, including internship jobs, contents, requirements, procedure and time assignments.
(3)Organize students to study internships syllabus and plan, identify internship objectives and requirements, and understand the timetable, steps and precautions, to strengthen safety requirements and the discipline.
(4)During the internship process, students must be strictly organized and required. Instructors should guide students to complete the internship report in accordance with the requirements of the syllabus.
(5)In the case of students who violate discipline or have committed other mistakes, the instructors should give timely criticism and education. If the case is serious, the leading teacher would be entitled to suspend his internship and report to the institute.
(6)The leading teacher should be overall responsible for the internship of the team, contact with the internship companies actively, ask for the guidance and support from the companies, and form good and continuous relationship with them. After the internship, the leading teachers should settle the accounts to the financial department within half a month.
5.Requirements for students
(1)Students should obey the leadership of teachers, and complete the internship tasks in accordance with the requirements of internship plan schedule. Students should take notes for the internship, complete the practice questions or homework on time, and finish internship report.
(2)Students should respect the technical staff in the internship companies, take the initiative to assist the internship companies to do some work, help to form good relationship between the companies and the institute.
(3)Strictly abide by the rules and regulations
1. Students’ travel from school to internship companies should be a collective action. Students who will return home after the end of the internship should hand in the application to the institute by the leading teacher before the departure.
2. Students who go from home to the companies on their own because of the holidays should be approved by the institute and check in on the appointed day. Late arrivals are processed in absenteeism.
3. Students are generally not allowed to ask for leave during the internship, special circumstances need to be approved by the teacher, otherwise, they will be processed in absenteeism. During the internship period, more than one-third of all internship time (including one-third), or no reason for absence of more than three days (including three days), the mark of internship will be zero. Students are not allowed to live in other places during their internships.
4.Students should strictly abide by the rules and regulations of the internship companies, pay attention to safety and observe the confidentiality system.
5.Protect public property, and save water and electricity.
6.Performance assessment and summary
Internship is not exempt. Students who do not pass should make up the internship instead of taking make up exams.
(1)Students must complete all the tasks of the internship, write internship report. Then they can participate in the assessment. The assessment results should refer to the guidance of internship companies.
(2)The results of the internship are marked by one hundred points system and recorded in the student grade book.
(3)Two weeks after the end of the internship, leading teachers should finish the summary.
7.These measures are applicable to various types of internship in Qiushi Honor College.
These measures can be referred for social surveys and other practical activities.
8.These measures shall come into force as of the date of enactment.
