(Correspondent: Li Yuan) To enhance the fire protection security awareness of the teachers and students of TIEI, help them get familiar with the usage of fire extinguishers, improve their ability of self-protection responding to the sudden disasters, in the afternoon of June 14th, 2017, TIEI and the security office jointly held the 2017 fire protection security drill and lecture in TIEI building, Weijin Campus of Tianjin University. Shan Xiaolin, party secretary, Wang Wei, administrative vice director of TIEI, teacher Chen of fire protection section, security office, the administrative staff and teachers and students of TIEI attended this activity.
TIEI invited teacher Chen of fire protection section, TJU security office to introduce the fire protection knowledge. He firstly explained the relevant regulations of the nation and the university, then reported some fire accidents happening recently, introduced the fire protection requirements and accident prevention measures during daily life and the scientific research of the laboratories, including the security of using electricity, hidden troubles of the laboratory accidents and the regulations of 10-forbidden conducts. He also introduced the relevant knowledge of extinguishing the fire, escaping and rescuing of the initial and later stages of the fire disasters, and emphasized the importance of the fire protection knowledge and the rehearsals of extinguishing the fire. Then, teacher Chen actually demonstrated the reasonable measures to use the fire extinguishers, let the present teachers and students have a full understanding towards the using methods of fire extinguisher and the escaping measures. In the later practice drill activity, under the guidance of teacher Chen, the present teachers and students soon mastered the using essentials of using the extinguishers, and experienced in person the operation procedures putting out the fire with the extinguishers, mastered the points for attention. After the drill, they exchanged what they have gained and concluded the operation standard using the extinguishers.
This drill enhanced the fire protection awareness of TIEI teachers and students, expanded their relevant knowledge, helped them master the standardized operational skills of extinguishing the fire, and meanwhile improved their ability of self-rescuing and self-protection, and helped them understand the responding measures when the fire disaster happened. The TIEI fire protection drill of this time achieved a good success.
