On December 31st, Tianjin International Engineering Institute (TIEI) held the first session of the New Year's Gala in the auditorium of the School of Electronic Information. Party Secretary Shan Xiaolin, Deputy Director Wang Chunling of Qiushi Honors College, and students in the Sino-French class of TIEI participated in the celebration.

The gala kicked off in the opening slides. Luo Zhen, Deputy Director of the Faculty, and Youth League teacher Shi Ziqing conveyed the New Year Message to the students and teachers through a video. At the end of the video, photos were taken of students who came from all directions and surrounded the "TIEI". Shan Xiaolin and Wang Chunling conveyed their best New Year wishes to the students and encouraged them to make joint efforts for further achievements.

The New Year's party began with the wonderful performances by students. The Latin dance "Unintentional Injury" by Xu He and Liao Wanyue won lots of applauses. Wang Tingting, Wu Qiong and Chen Tianyu then sang a French song "Le temps du muguet". Yang Chen brought a pipa solo "Highbrow" and accomplished the song "Blue and White".

The second half of the show was even more magnificent with Wang Wanting’ s folk dance " Depths of Bamboo ", Lan Tianyu chanted "Hero" and the audience was amazed with his fantastic martial arts performances. He handed a GongYingQiang which shocked everyone. Yu linglong and Chen Tianyu then played the guitar and sang "Old Boy". After the show, games were played and this made the party extremely lively.

In the joyful occassion, the first session of the TIEI New Year's Gala concluded successfully.
