On 4 November morning,Li Jiajun ,the president of Tianjin University, had met the principal Philippe Gourbesville and the vice principal Philippe Lorenzini of Polytech Nice-Sophia in Tianjin University Park campus,

Shan Xiaolin, party secretary of Qiushi Honors College, attended the talks. The talks were going on some communications and discussions about the development of the International Institute of engineers and related scientific and technological research and other aspects.

During the talk, Philippe Gourbesville explained the certification process and the meaning of CTI to Principal Li,and affirmed the contribution of International Institute of engineers in early stage. He thought the cultivation mode of the International Institute of engineers for students met the educational idea of French senior engineer. At the same time, He praised the performances of students during the intern’s reply last week in the school of International Institute of engineers. Principal Philippe thought students in this school had the potential and quality to be superior engineers.Principal Li fully affirmed the work of school of the International Institute of engineers and expressed an optimistic attitude to the development of school of the International Institute of engineers.

Principal Li explored with Principal Philippe about the construction in “smart city” and “safe city”.Besides,Li wished both of Tianjin University and the Polytech Nice-Sophia could strengthen the communication in the areas of academics, and deepen the exploration in technology,as well as expand the applications about smart city,thus,which could improve the construction of school of International Institute of engineers. Principal Philippe expressed his gratitude to Li for his support to the construction in school of International Institute of engineers,and hoped that they could cultivate more engineers with international perspective.
