On July 20, 2015, President Li Jiajun met with Philippe Gourbesville, Chairman of Polytech Nice-Sophia.

President Li hoped that the collaboration between the two universities could further promote student exchanges and training between China and France. Chairman Gourbesville indicated that Tianjin University has an excellent research environment and conditions, which provided a solid assurance of high level training of talent. These combination of factors has enabled Tianjin International Engineering Institute at Tianjin University to obtain a remarkable achievement within just two years’ since its establishment. He also hoped that Tianjin University could offer more support to the Tianjin International Engineering Institute and train more world-class talents in engineering and technology.
