TIEI Delegation Held 2017 Teaching Management Conference in France

On October 9thto 13th, 2017, the administrative and teaching management staff of TIEI and Polytech Nice-Sophia successfully held the teaching management conference in Nice, France. President Alexandre CAMINADA, Vice-presidentPhilippe LORENZINI, ProfessorPhilippe GOURBESVILLE, ProfessorMarc GAETANOand ProfessorJean-Laurent BURLETof Polytech Nice-Sophia, Yin Na,supervisor of Polytech Group EU Erasmus+ Program, academic vice director Yu Mei, administrative vice director Wang Wei, principal of specialty electronics Su Yuting, principal of specialty building Zhou Ting, administrative staff Peng Yang and Li Yuan of TIEI attended this conference, and held the discussion over the issues of TIEI administrative management and teaching management.

First of all, PresidentAlexandre CAMINADAof Polytech Nice-Sophia delivered an address to welcome the visit of TIEI, and expressed that more efforts will be made to further improve the engineering education reform work of TIEI in the future.Then, Vice-presidentPhilippe LORENZINIcongratulated on TIEI passing the CTI accreditation for 6 years again, and said that the future engineer education work requires the joint promotion of the teachers and administrative management staff of both sides, so as to further enhance the mutual exchanges.

Then, academic vice director Yu Mei of TIEI introduced the developing situation of Tianjin University and TIEI to the attendees of Polytech Nice-Sophia, discussed the teaching management and international exchanges situation of French engineer institute with the administrative principals of Polytech Nice-Sophia, to share the working experience with each other.

ProfessorPhilippeof Polytech Nice-Sophia put forward opinions and suggestions towards the future developing plans for TIEI.He discussed the construction of the two newly-added specialties with the specialty principals of TIEI, and made certain the research directions of the two specialties.He also emphasized that the arrangements and preparations for the CN-FR education international high-end forum at the end of 2017 was of great significance.He hoped that this forum can help build the cooperation mechanism of Emerging Engineering Educationdevelopmentamong the engineering universities of various countries, and promote TIEI to become the best international engineering institute in China that is with the worldwide influence while faced with the opportunities and challenges across the globe.

Professor Marc GAETANO and Professor Jean-Laurent BURLET gave detailed introduction about the exchanging students of Polytech Nice-Sophia, and made certain the time and relevant matters for the first batch of exchanging students from Nice to TIEI via discussion and communication. Marc GAETANO expressed that the internationalization is one of the most important working items for the development of TIEI, and the promoting of exchanging students programs and the bringing-in of excellent foreign teachers are beneficial for the mutual studying and joint progress of the both sides.

The staff of both sides jointly researched on the accreditation report from CTI to TIEI during the conference.And via the analysis of TIEI advantages and shortcomings,thefuture developing orientation of the coming 6 years of TIEI is made clear, and this is also regarded asthereference standard of TIEI mid-term report.

Finally, the attendees of the French side expressed that TIEI will become the bridge and bond of CN-FR engineer education cooperation and exchanges, and thatTIEI progress requires the joint communication and efforts from both sides.Polytech Nice-Sophia will spare no effort to support and participate in TIEI construction anddevelopment, hoping that TIEI will become the model of French engineer education in China.
