Course Description

This course is a basic specialized course for master students of buildings whose bachelor major isn't in civil engineering, including the concept of anti-seismic of buildings, seismic behavior factors, anti-seismic design concept and constructions.

Prerequisite

Theoretical mechanics, Mechanics of materials, Mechanics of structures.

Course Objectives

  • This course should enable students to understand the concept of anti-seismic of building, know about the constructions and design method basis of anti-seismic of building.

Course Syllabus

  1. Site and earthquake.

  2. Effect of earthquake.

  3. Anti-seismic design of muti-layers buildings (masonry structure, reinforce structure and steel structure).
