Course Description

As an optional subject for masters in computer engineering, this course systematically elaborateson analysis methods, design methods Hand the application of practical engineering of the computer control system, the main contents include the composition and classification of computer control system, signal sampling and recovery, performance and indicators, the situation and development trend, the z transform method of linear discrete control system, continuous control system and discretization of its control law. This course pays attention to the integrity of the theoretical system as well as the practical engineering application, with both theory and practice, solving some problems in practical engineering.

Prerequisite

  • Basic knowledge of control engineering: course such as classical control theory, microcomputer principle and interface technology, etc.

  • Knowledge of computer constitute principle: understand the basic parts of a computer, instruction system and so on.

Course Objectives

The purpose of this course is to make students understand the general situation of the application and development of the computer control technology, master the designation theory and method of digital control technology. After finishing learning this course, students should be able to:

  • Understand the z transform method of linear discrete control system, and continuous control system and discretization of its control law,

  • Master the simulation design methods and the discretization design methods of computer control system, and know the computer implementation method of digital controller, and to

  • Combine with the engineering practice and apply the basic concepts, basic knowledge and basic methods on typical mechanical and electrical hydraulic control system for the application of digital control technology.

Course Syllabus

  • Summary of computer control system: the position, function and task of computer control system, the structure, composition, classification, research and development direction of computer control system.

  • The Z transform method of Linear discrete system (sampling control system): linear discrete system, the sampling theorem, retainer, the concept of difference equations, properties and theorem of Z transformation, Z transformation principle, solve differential equation with Z transformation method, the method to get the Z transfer function of discrete system, the analysis of linear discrete system.

  • Technology of digital program control: digital program control mode, interpolation principle: linear interpolation and circular interpolation, the operational principle of stepper motor.

  • The simulation design of computer system design: the steps to design simulation of digital controller, the designing and optimizing method of digital PID controller, the method to generate parameters for digital PID controller.

  • The Discrete design of computer control system: the steps to design discrete digital controller, the method to design Least beat controller and Least beat ripple free controller, pure lag control.

  • P.S. difficulties of control system and Introduction to MATLAB as well as the examples of digital controller are contents that should be learnt by students themselves.
