Science and Technology Innovation Culture Festival| [Notice] The application for the 2022 College Students' Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program of School of Future Technology of Tianjin University kicks off

 

For the implementation of the purpose of scientific and technological innovation, in line with the requirements of the relevant work of the Ministry of Education, the Municipal Education Commission and the university, and the Measures for the Management of the "Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Plan for College Students" of the School of Future Technology, the school has decided to start the application for the innovation and entrepreneurship training plan for college students in 2022. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

 

01 Project type

The program types include innovation training, entrepreneurship training, and entrepreneurial practice.

(1) Innovative training programs

The funding target is students with preliminary research and practical abilities, who have a strong interest in research or invention creation. Both undergraduates and postgraduates can participate. Under the guidance of academic advisors, students complete innovative research project design, prepare research conditions, implement projects, and write research reports. The project applicant can be an individual or a team (No more than 5 people for a team are recommended, or added as appropriate), and the project completion period is generally one year.

(2) Innovative training programs

The funding target is a reasonable number of student teams (No more than 5 people are recommended, or added as appropriate). Both undergraduates and postgraduates can participate and each student in the team plays one or more specific roles in the project implementation process. Under the guidance of academic advisors, students complete the preparation of business plans, conduct feasibility studies, simulate enterprise operations, participate in enterprise practices, and write entrepreneurial reports. The project completion period is generally one year.

(3) Entrepreneurial practice project

The funding target is a reasonable number of student teams (No more than 6 people are recommended, or added as appropriate), both undergraduate and postgraduates can participate. Under the joint guidance of school and enterprise academic advisors, students propose an innovative product or service with market prospects by adopting the results of early innovation training projects (or innovative experiments), and carry out entrepreneurial practice activities based on this.

02 Project funding and project approval arrangements

(1) Project funds

The project funds shall be reimbursed based on actual expenses, and students shall strictly follow the budget upon reimbursement. The project team leader shall fill in relevant documents as the operator, and the project academic advisor shall inspect and sign them. The reimbursement shall be made pursuant to the school's financial system. Students shall use funds under the guidance of academic advisors on their own and shall not use them for other purposes. If the project fails to pass the mid-term inspection and final acceptance, the college has the right to recover the funds.

(2) Number of approved projects

In 2022, the college plans to establish 2-3 first-class projects and 5-10 second-class projects, and the specific number will be determined depending on the quality of the projects.

(3) Project review

Innovation training, entrepreneurship training, and entrepreneurship practice projects will be evaluated separately. The college will group them based on professional characteristics, review and rank them within groups, determine approved projects, divide project levels based on rankings, and determine project funding amounts.

 

03 Project participants

Students

All full-time undergraduates and postgraduates in our school are eligible to apply. It is recommended that the undergraduates and postgraduates join a team. Students from other colleges are welcome to join teams, but the team leader must be a student from School of Future Technology. Each student can participate in at most two college students innovation and entrepreneurship training programs at the same time, and serve as the leader of at most one project (including college level, school level, and above).

Academic advisor

Academic advisor must have certain professional skills and reliable time guarantee, and regularly organize student discussions and exchanges. In principle, the total number of projects guided by academic advisor should not exceed 2, and the number of academic advisors for each project should generally not exceed 2. Among them, the entrepreneurial practice project requires two academic advisors, including one on-campus academic advisors and one enterprise academic advisors with entrepreneurial practical experience. Academic advisors will be included in the excellent faculty pool of the School of Future Technology, and priority will be given in recommending them for the qualification of postgraduate supervisors of Tianjin International Engineering Institute.

 

Application method and schedule:

From November 8 to November 21, an application notice will be issued for project application. Please scan the QR code below for relevant notices and application forms. From November 22 to December 10, the project review will be conducted and the list of proposed project will be made public.
