One. The purpose and requirements ofcarryingoutself-learning

In order to cultivate the international engineering leading talents witha solid foundation, innovation ability and time ability, the "student self-learning" teaching modelisimplemented.The purpose of self-learningis to stimulate students’enthusiasm and consciousness to study; to cultivate students’study spirit and lifelong learning ability;tomake full use of quality teaching resources to strengthen the learning effect; and on the basis of strict teaching management, to arrangeflexibleteaching activitiestoprovide conditions for students’learning planningarrangementsand personalized development.Self-learning needs to be carried out in apurposed, planned and managed manner,under the prerequisite thatthe corresponding teaching objectivesare achievedand the quality of learningisensured. Self-study should be based on the premise of students’ own will-the students themselvesapplyfor the specified course.

Two. The conditions ofstudents applying for self-learning

1.Students who study inInternational Engineering Institute,with a certain degree of self - management ability and learning ability,comprehensivedevelopment of moral, intellectual, physical.

2.Achievements meet one of the following conditions:

(1)Weighted average score in the yearwithin20%;

(2)By the end of the semester before the application, the weighted average scoreofall coursesare higher than80 (including 80 points);

2.Application time: Self-learningshould be doneduringthe course selection time asemester before the commencement of the selected course.The time is whencompletingtheStudent Self-study (instead of listening to the courses) Course Application Form.Students can not apply at other time.

5.During application, if the teacher requests the students to give a study plan, course review, or any evidence materials of self-learning ability, the students should submitin a timely manner; if he cannot complete, or if the assessment is insufficient to prove that he or she hasability tostudythis course,the applicationwillnotbeapproved.

6.During the approval processofthecourseteacher, thecourse collegeand the student'scollege(university), if the course is not suitable for the applicant's self-learning, it will not be approved.

7.Students who are eligible for self-learningare required toconfirm their own selected self-learningcourses, check the course name, course number, teacher and other information during the first week of the semester.For those who fail toselect courses successfully, fail toparticipate in the course, and cancel theself-learningqualifications, if the reason is the person did notconfirm the information promptlyandcausedmissing selection, wrong selectionandother issues, the consequencesareborne by the students themselves.

8.Students who have completed the above application process and successfully started their own courses should follow the requirements of Part IV of the presentMeasuresand study hard and achieve the purpose of curriculum planning;for those who fail in the coursecheck, their self-learning qualificationscan be canceled and they can beclassifiedintoselected courses classto study.Time conflicts and other issuesresultingfrom thisarecoordinatedand solved by students.

Four. Coursesallowedto be applied forself-learning

1.Thebasic courses,majorbasic courses, innovation and training courses, cross-disciplinary elective coursesin studentsmajorcanbeapplied, after the assessment of thecourse college, the student'scollege(university)thestudents suitable for self-learning can start application;The nature of the course (compulsory, elective)should be consist withnon self-learning.

2.Mathematics and natural science courses and professional core coursesare notadvocated to beself-learning courses,but after thediscussion amongstudents themselves and professional college teachers,thosewithself-learning conditionsareallowedtoapply.

Five、Self-learning requirements, assessment and credit points

1.Self-learning courseswhich are appliedin accordance with the provisions of the application andgetapproval, are required to pass the assessment beforegettingthe corresponding achievements and credits.

2.Allself-learning courses require students to carefully record self-study notes, teachers, professionalmentors and colleges will inspect and evaluateregularlyor irregularly;for courseswith requirements,studentsshould submit your homework or participate in the experiment, interview and other practical teaching sessionson timeas required;during thesupervision and inspection,forstudentswho do not have the conditions forself-learning,college or course teachercan cancel their self-learningqualifications.

4.For studentswho have passed the general assessment, scoresare marked as the student's current coursescoreand awarded the corresponding credits;for thosewhofail, they are regarded as not-pass, the credit condition is not-pass,studentsaccordingly participate in supplementaryexamor restudy the course,the same as those whodid not apply for theself-learning.

5.Teachers or correspondingmajorshould actively cooperate with the students’self-learning.Theassignment, the experiment should be carefully checked, strict required andtimely guided.DuringQ & A, teachersshould be enthusiastic to give answers andprovidehelptoguidestudents’self-learning.
