In order to further strengthen the awareness of quality and emphasize the teaching work, objectively and impartially evaluate the teaching quality, mobilize the enthusiasm of teachers to engage in teaching work, and comprehensively improve the quality of education in our school, wemade this guidance.
First, the comprehensive evaluation of teachingwork andquality should adhere to the principles of openness, fairness and justice andfocuses on incentives, in order to facilitate personnel training and improve the quality of teaching, including the combination of qualitative and quantitative way.
Second, the comprehensive evaluation of teaching quality should include all the achievementsin the education and teaching process, such as: ethics, teaching effectiveness, teaching research and other aspects.
Third, the comprehensive evaluation of teachingwork andquality should include: student evaluation, peer (business mentor) evaluation, superior evaluation and self-evaluation. The proportion of student evaluation should not be less than 50%.
Student evaluation: Students use the network to evaluate teachers. The Institute should ask students to treat the evaluation workseriously. The result of evaluation should reflect the teacher teaching status and qualityobjectively, so that the evaluation work will play a role in promoting the teaching quality in the future.
Superior evaluation: Institutescan set up anevaluation group composed of instituteleaders, curriculum leaders, teaching steering committee members and othersto conduct a comprehensive evaluation of teaching quality combined with theTJUethics rules and evaluation system.
Peer (business mentor) evaluation:Peer evaluation refers to the mutual evaluation among teachers for the same course or teachers in the same group. Peer evaluation should focus on the normative and advanced nature of teaching content, the applicability and scientificity of teaching methods, as well as the accuracy and seriousnessofhomework correcting, thesis guidance andpaperscorrecting.
Self-evaluation. Teachers should evaluate their own teaching qualityobjectively
based on evaluation indicators according to classroom teaching status and student learning results.
Forth, the comprehensive evaluation of teachingwork andquality is an important part of teaching quality monitoringand guaranteesystem, aimed at the establishment of a system of teaching evaluation and incentive mechanism. The comprehensive evaluation will strengthen the guidance of teachers, stimulate and mobilize the enthusiasm of teachers engaged in teaching work, and continuously enhance the sense of responsibility and quality to promote the improvement of teaching quality.
Fifth, students’participation in the evaluationreflectsa student-orientedthought ineducation and teaching. Throughstrengthening the guidance of students to evaluate the teaching quality, improving students'awareness of the importance of evaluation, stimulating students' enthusiasm for evaluating teaching quality, and enhancing students' awareness, each student can evaluate the quality of teaching objectively. At the same time, wewill improve students' knowledge and morallevel to prevent feelings and retribution involved. Then the objectivity and credibility of the evaluation will be improved.
