Course Description

The module provides an understanding of the environment (micro and macro) in which the company operates, and of the identification of potential areas of business development and business strategy.

Prerequisite

Not required.

Course Objectives

  • To develop a coherent overall vision of the business environment.

  • To understand the workings of a company and its strategic direction in relation to its environment.

  • To understand the professional world to describe the business environment.

  • To deliver an oral presentation of the business environment.

  • To conduct a case study on a business and its interaction with the environment.

Capability Tasks

CT5: To have the basic concept about how the company functions and the capability to understand economic problems such as quality management, competitiveness and productivity and commercial demands.
