Course Description

This course is a basic specialized course for master students of buildings whose bachelor major isn't in civil engineering, including the concept of ground and foundation, shallow foundation, pile foundation.

Prerequisite

Theoretical mechanics, Mechanics of materials, Mechanics of structures.

Course Objectives

• This course should enable students to understand the concept of ground and foundation, know about the constructions and design method basis of shallow foundation and pile foundation.
