Course Description

To improve the design level, save energy, reduce heating and air-conditioning costs through studying and practicing this course.

Prerequisite

This course is based on building thermal principle.

Course Objectives

Students master the new methods, new ideas and new technology to properly solve the sunlight, heat preservation, heat insulation, ventilation and other issues and create a good indoor climate environment and enhance the durability of the building envelope.

Course Syllabus

  1. the indoor and outdoor thermal environment of building

  2. the way to transfer heat and moisture in the building

  3. the structure and design of the thermal insulating structure

  4. moisture-proof measures of the palisade structure

  5. heat insulation design and measures of the palisade structure

  6. building indoor natural ventilation

  7. architectural sunshine standard and basic principle

  8. architectural shading facilities and installations
