On April 4, TIEI invited Frank SCHREIBER, General Manager of Airbus (Tianjin) Final Assemble Co., Ltd., to Peiyang Lecture Hall to give a lecture in order to cultivate innovative engineering talents who can meet the society needs, and constantly develop the international vision of students and enhance their comprehensive ability and core competitiveness. Shan Xiaolin, Party Secretary of TIEI, Guan Jing, Vice Dean of TIEI, Guo Jing, Head of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, Yin Na, General Coordination of EU Scholarship Programs of Polytech Group, representatives of EU Chamber of Commerce and more than 200 students attended the lecture.

Frank SCHREIBER as the keynote speaker of Peiyang lecture hall, first of all, he introduced the history and development of the leading aircraft manufacturer, Airbus, to the on-site teachers and students. Airbus is gradually developed from the original single-channel A320 series and wide-body A310 series, the long-range wide-body A330 series and the new wide-body remote A350 series to the ultra-long-range double-layer A380 series. It is reported that Airbus has delivered more than 6,700 aircraft since it was put into operation in 1974. Later, he brought a wonderful report to the teachers and students on the “key role of business leaders and how to develop leadership”. Frank SCHREIBER combined theory, practice and experience through simple and easy-to-understand examples, giving teachers and students some unique insights, and hoped that in the near future, they will help students to innovate and surpass themselves and develop individual leadership awareness when they step into the society.

During the Q&A session, the students fully grasped this valuable opportunity, actively interacted with Frank SCHREIBER, raised their own questions, and exchanged personal experiences and insights. Frank SCHREIBER combined with his personal experience to answer the questions with great patience and meticulousness.
