August 28th, it is the first day for the TJU freshmen registration. QHC and TIEI teachers and students are ready for their arrival. On the guidance of counselor, all the volunteers are ready and wait for the 140 Grade 19 Freshmen’s coming.
Although the Autumn Begins is over, Peiyang Square is still hot. All the freshmen carry their luggage, accompanied with relatives and friends. Every student is ready to start a new journey of postgraduate study with both excitement and fear.
Welcome the freshmen
In our welcome tent, our work is proceeding smoothly. After the registration procedures “admission notice, identity card, registration form, diploma, certificate degree, etc.” are completed, the freshmen finally get their “new home” key. Our volunteers enthusiastically lead them to know the “new home” location, appreciate the campus scenery, share the experience of campus life and study, and answer questions and puzzles for them.
Happy Moment
The year of 2019 is the fifth anniversary of TIEI. On such a special day, TIEI prepared Memorial T-shirts for the freshmen. They are very excited to show it in the tent and take pictures with their counselor.
Warm Greetings from President Jin Donghan
In the afternoon, Jin Donghan, President of Tianjin University, came to our tent to greet the volunteers and teachers who participated in the first-line welcome work. Guan Jing, Vice Dean of TIEI and Wang Wei, Vice Party Secretary of QHC briefly introduced the recent work of our College to President Jin. He affirmed our work, and said that only a few excellent students in France can obtain engineer diploma. He hoped that the students of our College could make full use of the advantages and spur their continuous progress with the ingenuity of excellent engineers. Later, President Jin inquired about the freshmen’s registration and took pictures with the teachers and students.
Welcome to TIEI
After one day’s waiting, the Grade 19 freshmen of our college have arrived safely one after another, and have completed their registration. Tomorrow, we are still waiting for the arrival of Grade 19 freshmen at TIEI tent.
