On November 12th and 14th, TIEI organized training and communication meeting for Intelligent Medicine Engineering and Smart Water Engineering teachers. The meeting convened a team of teachers and instructors from Academy of Medical Engineering and Translational Medicine, School of Precision Instruments and Optoelectronics Engineering, School of Civil Engineering and School of Environmental Science and Engineering to exchange the French engineer education system and the postgraduate training requirements of TIEI. The meeting was presided over by TIEI Vice Dean Guan Jing.
Guan Jing introduced the college construction background, training concept, talent training system, school-enterprise cooperation mode and construction achievements to the teachers from the essential connotation of French engineering education to the practical path of engineering education reform based on local education. She further emphasized that engineering education reform should achieve ideological transformation, standard transformation and mode transformation.
Subsequently, the teachers conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on issues such as curriculum construction reform standards, curriculum construction needs, overseas exchange practice, academic achievement requirements, degree application standards, teaching and scientific research balance, etc.
In 2019, TIEI entered the fifth year of development and construction, and began to steadily promote the second stage of “intelligent +” professional cluster construction project with the first batch of master’s degree students majoring in intelligent medical engineering and smart water engineering. It is reported that after nearly two years of professional discussion, industrial research and school enterprise evaluation, the training program and training mode were finally determined in the first half of 2019.
