In order to further deepen the students’ internship, strengthen standardization, improve the level of party building work of the branch, and improve the comprehensive ability of party members, the Party Branch of QHC of Tianjin University and the  Party Branch of Human Resources Department (Integrated Management Department) of the 18 CLP carried out co-construction activities to achieve two-way interaction, resource sharing and complementary advantages.

The two sides’ cooperation has began in 2016. They have been closely linked, and have close cooperation in students internship, curriculum guidance, employment and employment assistance or many years. This Party Branch co-construction is a more in-depth and more essential cooperation on the original basis.

On the morning of October 23, the co-construction ceremony was held in Conference Room 1209 of the 18 CLP. Party Secretary, Shan Xiaolin, teachers and students as the representative of QHC, Party Secretary, Sheng Yanhua, other departments’ leaders as  the representative of the 18 CLP attended the activity. The activity was hosted by Sheng Yanhua.

Sheng Yanhua first introduced the participants and extended a warm welcome to the QHC delegation. He pointed out that the joint construction payed a foundation to the cooperative training of college students, and it was also an important way for talent training, expanding resources, and reserve outstanding talents for our country. He also said that students who are interested in national defense are welcome to exchange in the 18 CLP, and hoped that students should pay more attention to the platform, regional advantages, and long-term development in their job hunting.

At the meeting, Shan Xiaolin introduced the overall situation of QHC and the Party Branch of the college to the participants. Taking the development of higher education as an entry point, he briefly introduced the history of QHC in the past 11 years.

Tianjin International Engineering Institute draws on the French engineer training model and attaches great importance to school-enterprise cooperation. QHC is also a pilot area for school engineering education reform and is actively building the future college. It built a future intelligent machine platform in 2019, and the two majors of the energy storage and the future city will soon be established, which are closely related to the national industry.

Then Wang Xiuling introduced that the 18 CLP was established in 1958 and has now become the largest and highest-level comprehensive research institute for chemical and physical power technology research, product development and production in China. It is responsible for the national defense science and technology tasks. She hoped that the two sides can carry out more long-term cooperation and guide students to combine their studies with practice.

Jiao Xuan said that this visit to the 18 CLP was very shocking and believed that it was also an opportunity for the participating students to have a valuable practical education and cultivate their family and country feelings. The 18 CLP majors are very related to the current majors of QHC, especially the energy storage major to be built in the future. She sincerely invited the 18 CLP experts to QHC to guide students.

Finally, Chen Wei, secretary of the Party branch of QHC and Sheng Yanhua signed a contract with the party branch under the witness of all participants. The establishment of the agreement signifies that the party branches of the two sides have reached a cooperation, which will jointly guide the college students to take the road of talent development combined with practice and help them to receive education, develop talents, and make contributions in practice and  enhance their ability to analyze and solve problems in practice.
