On April 9th, 2021, Yuan Xubo, Dean of Qiushi Honors College, Guan Jing, Deputy Director, Liu Gang, Person in Charge of Intelligent Building Major, Yang Yunjing, Director of Architecture and Planning High-end Training Center, Guo juanli, a professional teacher, went to China Institute of Building Standard Design and Research Co., Ltd. to visit and investigate. Li Bing, General Manager of China Institute of Building Standard Design and Research Co., Ltd, Zhang Donghua, Deputy Dean of the First Design Institute, Zhao Ge, Deputy Director of the Urban Planning and Design Institute, Wei Suwei, Deputy Chief Architect of the Institute, Li Jing, Assistant Director of Talent Training Center of China Architecture Design and Research Institute, Zhang Xinqing, the Head of Talent Development of the Human Resources Department, received the guests. The two sides held a discussion on the needs of smart city professional talent training and enterprise practice.

　　At the meeting, Yuan Xubo introduced in detail the Emerging Engineering Education of Tianjin University and the school-running model and talent training goals of International Engineering Institute. Guan Jing introduced the school-running concept and characteristics of International Engineering Institute from the aspects of the college's development process, teaching mode, school-enterprise cooperation, etc., focusing on the construction of the innovation platform for integration between industry and education. Liu Gang introduced three training directions of talents for Smart City Major: intelligent design of green buildings and ecological cities, intelligent operation of green buildings and ecological cities, and the safety and intelligent monitoring of key buildings. The interdisciplinary teaching system and enterprise alliance expounded the work of this major in the training of interdisciplinary and enterprise joint talents.

　　Based on the shortcomings and talent needs of the construction industry's digital transformation talents, Li Bing proposed the perspective of that inter-professional integrated talents should be cultivated. He emphasized in view of the whole process consulting and EPC general contracting mode, a model of front-end design and whole process management should be formed, and pay attention to the improvement of practical ability and expandable knowledge ability of talents. Wei Suwei proposed that the establishment of talent training disciplines should be conducive to the independent development of comprehensive solving problem ability. Zhang Donghua suggested that the subject of practical ability training for engineering talents should come from actual projects to achieve the verification of application scenarios, research and development and engineering practice.

　　Finally, the two sides discussed the industrial layout and demand of architecture and urban intelligence, the requirements for future professionals, and the ways, channels and needs of the integration between industry and education, then conducted in-depth discussion on the enterprise demand and the training mode of talent practice suitable for the interdisciplinary crossing engineering education of smart city of International Engineering Institute.
