Everything in Tianjin has come to a complete halt since the abrupt pandemic outbreak on January 8, 2022. In the face of the sudden pandemic outbreak, the postgraduates of the Tianjin International Engineering Institute (TIEI) actively responded to the school's overall deployment and arrangements and various volunteer activities while having themselves fully covered. The engineering doctors living off-campus actively volunteered in the fight against the pandemic in the community where they lived and collectively built an effective defense line against the pandemic in compliance with the pandemic prevention and control requirements. In this battle of pandemic prevention and control, they stayed true to their original aspiration, kept their mission top of mind, dared to take responsibility, and took the initiative to protect people's lives, health, and safety with practical actions, demonstrating the commitment of Tianjin University and flying the Party flag aloft on the front against the pandemic.

Volunteers' courageous demeanor

Zhang Qingman (a 2020 Engineering Ph.D. student) has a wonderful family of three with his wife and daughter. Together, father, daughter, and mother battled the pandemic as "comrades in arms", taking concrete actions to conquer the pandemic via their volunteerism.

Liu Qi (a 2020 Engineering Ph.D. student) actively participated in various voluntary services and built a strong fortress for pandemic prevention and control with a high sense of political responsibility and vocation.

Flowers blossom in spring, leaving wisps of fragrance lingering in the air; Leaves thrive in summer, providing shade for passersby This "anti-pandemic" battle has witnessed many Tianjin International Engineering Institute students achieve numerous victories. They have fought hard in their positions and battlefields, instilling hope in the nation and China's future and heralding triumph and peace.
