On February 26, Mr. Liu Wanyu, Dean of Universities of Technology Sino-European of Shanghai University, Mr.Lei Zuosheng and Mr.Zhang Jianhua, Vice Dean, visited TIEI. Mr. Shan Xiaolin, Party Secretary of TIEI, Prof. Guan Jing, Vice Dean, Educational Administer, Ms. Wang Wenjie and propaganda and financial secretary Ms. Liu Yingtong received the delegation and had a discussion.

First of all, Mr. Shan Xiaolin extended a warm welcome to the delegation and gave a comprehensive introduction to the overall construction and development of TIEI. He said that under the background of the development of the new engineering project of “Tianda Action”, as one of the experimental areas of engineering education reform and talent training of Tianjin University, TIEI actively promotes the interdisciplinary integration by drawing on the French engineer training model and combining the discipline advantages of Tianjin University. Through innovation and reforming of education and teaching methods, TIEI has always committed to building an open, international, innovative first-class engineering institute.

Subsequently, the two sides made a discussion on basic issues such as the basic construction of each college, teaching resources, and the students’ employment. Mr. Shan Xiaolin gave a detailed answer to the research questions raised by the delegation.

Finally, Mr. Liu Wanyu said that through this discussion, he had a deeper understanding of TIEI talent training in the engineering field at the postgraduate level. He hoped that there will be further exchanges between the two sides in the future.
