International Exchange| TIEI Students in University of Cambridge

Teachers in University of Cambridge will encourage students to speak freely about knowledge, not to focus on right or wrong, but also to focus on thinking and logic. In the first class, the teacher said that what is meaningful is not what you know, more is what you think. The relaxed classroom atmosphere and the open thinking had left a deep impression on me.

Due to the course schedule, most of my classes are in the morning and the afternoon is more relaxed. Mostly, I walked alone in Cambridge, or had some social time with friends. In my spare time, friends supported a bamboo raft on the Jianhe River, from the Mathematical Bridge to the Bridge of Sighs, from King’s College to Trinity College. A sword river quietly flowed, carrying many years of past events.

If Oxford is a city with a university, then Cambridge is a city in the university. The students sat on the grass by the river in groups, and the boatmen sailed slowly in the Jianhe River. The couples talked intimately at the riverside cafes, and the flocks of ducks walked aimlessly in the college. From time to time, the Corpus Clock on King Street sends out a metal-like sound, warning people to cherish time and grasp the present.

The days in Cambridge are leisurely and free. No one will rush you, but you need to know what you want to do. As the classic Philosophy Three asked, who am I? Where am I from? Where am I going? Everyone here has their own answer in mind.
