At 3 o’clock in the afternoon of August 29, the TIEI Grade 2019 freshmen meeting was held in room 302 of 23 Building of Tianjin University Weijin Road Campus. Guan Jing, Vice Dean of TIEI, Chen Wei, the Grade 2019 freshmen counselor, Wang Wenjie, the educational administrator and all students attended the meeting.

The meeting was opened in a warm atmosphere. On behalf of the teachers and students of TIEI, Guan Jing first expressed warm welcome and sincere congratulations to the 2019 freshmen! Subsequently, she briefly introduced the college characteristics and raised ardent expectations for the new students. She hoped that everyone could increase their study, combine theory with practice, and become an international engineer who meets the needs of the new era.

Wang Wenjie gave a detailed explanation on the two aspects of course selection and training programs. She emphasized that students should paid attention to some key issues such as the selection of graduate courses. She said that time flies like an arrow and hoped that all the students could study hard and have a good postgraduate study career at TIEI!

Finally, Chen Wei introduced the procedures for the entrance stage in detail, such as file reception, organization relationship referral and other aspects. What is more, she introduced and warned everyone to obey the school rules, obey the school and college arrangements and pay attention to their own safety. Later, by sharing the cases of outstanding graduates, she encouraged everyone to make great use of the college’s advantage platform, study hard, firmly grasp the opportunities of internship practice, and enhance their comprehensive competitiveness.
