TIEI French Director Philippe GOURBESVILLE Handed over the Certificate of TIEI Passing CTI Accreditation with the Highest Level

(Correspondent: Liu Yingtong) In the afternoon of August 21, 2017, Philippe GOURBESVILLE, president of Polytech Nice Sophia handed over TIEI Passing CTI Accreditation with the Highest Level to TJU president Zhong Denghua in the VIP room of the conference building. Shan Xiaolin, party secretary of TIEI, Wang Wei, vice director of TIEI, Yin Na, supervisor of Polytech Group EU Erasmus+ Program and the teacher representatives of the Chinese and French sides attended the meeting together.

First of all, president Zhong Denghua congratulated TIEI passing CTI accreditation with the highest level and expressed high-degree recognition and compliment for TIEI work in all aspects, showing the sincere gratitude towards the long-term support from the cooperative side ---Polytech Nice Sophia. Then, President Zhong emphasized that we should continuously forge ahead to make explorations and developments while making the excellent achievements, conclude the present practical experience, enhance TIEI facilities construction and perfect and optimize the teaching quality system. We should take the country’s demand as the orientation, positively respond to the national key developing strategies such as “the Belt and Road Initiative”, “Made-in-China 2025”, make the intelligence construction as one of TIEI future developing plans, actively explore the innovative talents training mode, and try to build TIEI into the domestic high-level, first-rate engineer institute.

Then, Philippe GOURBESVILLE, president of Polytech Nice Sophia put forward that the practice and innovations should be adopted into TIEI discipline construction and talents training, that TIEI should be raised into a high-level engineer institute complying with the international standard. He also hoped that Polytech Nice Sophia and Tianjin University can have further in-depth cooperation in the collaborative training of students and the scientific research field.

CTI was established in 1934. As an independent non-administrative machinery subordinate to the French education ministry, it operates the assessment and accreditation towards the engineer degree education and engineer universities globally. The universities passing the accreditation are entitled to issue the engineer degree certificates recognized by the French education ministry, and the certificates are widely acknowledged across the world.
