The Sino-French Institute for Nuclear Energy and Technology Delegation Visits TIEI

On August 13, Xu Yao, Secretary of the Party Committee, Wang Wei,the Dean, Kang Mingliang,the dean’s assistant, Bian Laite, the French teacher, and Xiao Juanlan, Secretary of foreign affairs of the Sino-French Institute for Nuclear Energy and Technology made a visit to TIEI. Shan Xiaolin, Secretary of the Party Committee, Yuan Xubo,the Dean, Guan Jing, the Vice Dean, Wang Jianrong, the head of computer technology, and Secretary of teaching and foreign affairs participated in the meeting.

Shan Xiaolin extended a warm welcome to the delegation, and appreciated their achievements over the years in engineering talent training. Then he gave an overall introduction of the development of QHC and TIEI. Yuan Xubo said that TIEI draws on the French engineer training model, takes root in China, actively promotes the interdisciplinary integration, practices the construction of emerging engineering education, and makes innovation and reformation on education. It has similarities with the French engineer elite education.

Wang Wei and Guan Jing focused on the talent training, teacher construction, education and teaching, international exchanges, student development and achievements of the two colleges. Subsequently, the two sides had in-depth discussions on localization of engineer education, opportunities and challenges for future development, curriculum construction, enrollment quality, French teaching quality and diversification of teachers. Xu Yao expressed that they would learn from the experience of engineering talent training of TIEI, and hoped that both sides would strengthen mutual learning and exchange in the future, further enhance the quality and influence of the college’s talent training, and jointly explore a training path for engineering talents that better meets the development needs of modern universities.
