Glad Tidings | TIEI Shortlisted in the "International Strategy of the Year" - Times Higher Education (THE) Awards Asia 2020

On June 3rd, 2020, TIEI has been shortlisted in the “International Strategy of the Year” at Times Higher Education (THE) Awards Asia 2020.

The THE Awards are widely recognized as the Oscars of the higher education sector. This year, THE Awards Asia has 10 categories. “International Strategy of the Year” is given to an institution for outstanding success in building institutional partnerships, overseas operations and a strategic approach to international staff and student recruitment.

The quote from Phil Baty, THE’s Chief Knowledge Officer, is that

“Once again we were delighted that so many universities, from an impressive number of countries and territories, submitted their best and most inspirational stories to us for this year’s THE Awards Asia. We have now whittled down 250 excellent entries to a final 80, and it’s clear that our judges face a huge challenge to select just eight winners. We have already excluded many brilliant entries to reach this stage, so all of you featured on this year’s shortlists should be incredibly proud of making it this far.”

Through the selection, TIEI has once again been given the opportunity to be fully displayed to the world’s universities, which indicates that the diversity reform and excellent results in talent training have received international attention and recognition. In the future, TIEI will further strengthen interconnection and cross-border integration with various fields, and constantly innovate and develop!
